Burnt‑on spills and greasy rings:

  • 3 tablespoons baking soda

  • 1–2 tablespoons water (just enough to make a spreadable paste)

  • Optional: a few drops of a mild, well‑tolerated essential oil or none if you’re sensitive

How to use:

  1. Make sure the stove top is completely cool.

  2. Wipe off the dust and crumbs with a damp cloth.

  3. Spread the baking soda paste over the stained areas, in a thin layer.

  4. Let sit for 5–15 minutes so it can soften the grease or grime.

  5. Gently rub with a soft, non‑abrasive sponge or microfiber cloth, in small circles.

  6. Wipe away with a clean damp cloth, then buff with a dry cloth to remove haze.

For extra cleaning power

If stains are stubborn and your lungs/skin tolerate light vinegar use:

  • Lightly spray plain white vinegar over the baking‑soda‑coated spots, let it fizz a few minutes, then scrub gently and wipe clean.

Avoid steel wool, harsh scouring powders, bleach mixes, or ammonia‑based glass cleaners on the cook top, since they can scratch the surface or irritate your airways.
